What to Expect

From Udawalawe, your chauffeur drives you through scenic countryside to Yala National Park. On arrival, switch to a private 4x4 jeep and meet your tracker for an unforgettable safari in Block 1, home to the island’s highest density of leopards.

Keep your camera ready as you traverse grasslands, lagoons, and rocky outcrops in search of leopards, elephants, sloth bears, crocodiles, jackals, and a rich diversity of birdlife. Your tracker will follow fresh signs to maximize chances of big sightings, while respecting park guidelines for ethical and responsible wildlife viewing.

After the safari, relax on your drive back to Udawalawe. If you wish to be dropped at a different location (e.g., Tissamaharama, Hambantota, or Tangalle), please let us know — we can arrange this with a small cost adjustment.
