What to Expect

Begin your journey with a comfortable private transfer from Tangalle’s coast to Yala National Park, the island’s premier wildlife reserve. On arrival, you’ll board a private 4x4 jeep and head into the park, where leopards are most commonly sighted.

Your tracker will lead you along the park’s rugged tracks, helping you discover leopards, elephants, sloth bears, wild buffalo, crocodiles, and an incredible diversity of birdlife. With fewer crowds compared to other parks, this safari promises a more intimate and immersive wildlife experience.

After the safari, relax on your return to Tangalle. Alternatively, we can arrange drop-offs in nearby destinations such as Hambantota or Tissamaharama to suit your onward travel plans.

Recommended: Afternoon safari (depart Tangalle ~11:30 AM → safari ~2:00–6:00 PM → return by evening)
