What to Expect

Begin your journey from Ahangama with a scenic drive along Sri Lanka’s southern coast before entering the wilderness of Yala National Park. Once inside, your private 4x4 jeep will take you along rugged tracks, with your expert tracker pointing out animal behaviors and hidden sightings.

Yala’s fame lies in its high density of leopards, but you’ll also encounter elephants, crocodiles, buffalo, sloth bears, and an abundance of bird species. The safari experience balances thrilling wildlife encounters with moments of calm as you traverse lagoons, forests, and open grasslands.

After your safari, unwind on the return drive to Ahangama. Onward drop-offs to nearby destinations such as Mirissa, Weligama, or Galle can also be arranged.
