What to Expect

Your journey begins with a hotel pick-up in Tissamaharama, followed by a short scenic drive to Udawalawe National Park. Thanks to the close proximity, you’ll reach the park quickly and maximize your time inside the reserve.

Board your private 4x4 jeep and set off on a safari guided by an experienced driver-tracker. Expect to see large herds of elephants, water buffalo, crocodiles, spotted deer, and dozens of bird species. With fewer crowds compared to Yala, Udawalawe offers a more serene and intimate safari atmosphere.

After your safari, you’ll return to Tissamaharama with unforgettable memories of Sri Lanka’s wilderness, or if you wish to be dropped at a different location (such as your next destination), we can arrange this with a cost adjustment.
