What to Expect

Your journey begins with a private pick-up from your hotel in Ella. As you descend from the cool hills into the dry-zone wilderness, the scenery shifts dramatically.

By midday, you’ll arrive at Udawalawe National Park for your afternoon safari — the most recommended time to see elephants gathering near waterholes, herds of buffalo grazing, and birds in flight. The safari is conducted in a 4x4 jeep with a professional tracker, ensuring an authentic wildlife encounter.

For travelers who prefer an early start, we can also arrange a morning safari (pick-up 6.00–7.00 AM, safari starting around 8.00–9.00 AM). Please contact us directly if you’d like to adjust the timings.

After your safari, you can choose to return comfortably back to Ella, or if you wish to be dropped at a different location (such as your next destination), we can arrange this with a cost adjustment.
