What to Expect

Your journey begins with a private pick-up from your hotel in Bentota. As you leave the coast behind, the scenery shifts from lush tropical greenery to the open plains of Sri Lanka’s dry-zone wilderness.

Arriving around midday, you’ll enter Udawalawe National Park for your afternoon safari — the most recommended time to see elephants near waterholes, herds of buffalo grazing, and prolific birdlife. The safari is in a private 4x4 jeep with a professional tracker for an authentic wildlife encounter.

After the safari, return comfortably to Bentota or choose a different drop-off location (e.g., Galle, Mirissa, or another destination). We can arrange this with a cost adjustment — please contact us to set it up.
